Organizing a wedding can be very awe-inspiring as there are so many things to consider. Following a timeline is a simple way to take away stress on or before your wedding day.
9-12+ Months
- Announce your engagement
- Set a wedding budget
- Choose a wedding date & reserve your venues
- Start planning the guest list
- Hire a wedding planner
- Research vendors
- Select wedding attendants
- Book your officiant
8 Months
- Hire your photographer and videographer
- Book your band/DJ
- Meet with Caterer
- Purchase wedding gown

6-7 Months
- Order invitations
- Start researching honeymoon destinations
- Shop for bridesmaid dresses

1 week
- Review all RSVPs and call any guest who hasn’t sent a response
- Give caterer final count
- Plan reception seating chart

2-3 Days
- Bride: If you need to, have your gown pressed or steamed
- Groom: Go for final fitting and pick up your formalwear
- Groom: Ask the best man to make sure all groomsmen attend fittings and pick up their outfits.
- Reconfirm final details with all vendors
Night Before
- Rehearse ceremony and go over all details
- Give officiant your marriage license
- Attend rehearsal dinner
- Present wedding attendants with their gifts
Day of
- Present parents & each other with gifts
- Give best man wedding bands to hold during ceremony
Post Wedding
- Prearrange for someone to return any rentals
- Write and send thank-you notes to gift-bearing guests and vendors who were especially helpful.
